CEDAR HILL STATE PARK

Cedar Hill State Park is located near Lynn Creek Marina, right on Joe Pool Lake. The park has many trails to choose from to accommodate all styles of hiking! Not into hiking? That’s ok! Cedar Hill State Park is home to one of the Dallas Off-Road Bike Association (DORBA) trails. There’s also the Penn Family Farm from the 1820s – when settlers originally arrived in the Blackland Prairies.

DOGWOOD CANYON AUDUBON CENTER

Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center is also located right on Joe Pool Lake. Audubon owns or manages over 200 acres of undisturbed wildlife and is part of a nearly 3,000-acre greenbelt in southwest Dallas County. Their mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.
